Your journal entries and personal reflections are stored exclusively on your device and never uploaded to our servers. We don't sell your data. We never will.
Faith Companion ("we," "us," or "our") is a faith-based mobile application developed and operated by Altavation LLC, based in the United States. The app is designed to provide personalized scripture, AI-powered companionship, journaling, and prayer support.

We take the sensitivity of your personal reflections seriously. Journal entries, prayer requests, and emotional check-ins are among the most personal data you can share with an app.

Specifically, when you submit a journal entry with AI enabled, the following is sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate your personalized reflection:

Faith Companion is not directed at children under the age of 13. Altavation LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Users between 13 and 17 should use the app with parental awareness and guidance.
Altavation LLC implements industry-standard security measures to protect your data including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure API key management, and access controls limiting who on our team can access user data.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Altavation LLC will notify affected users promptly in the event of a data breach.
